Let’s come to an all-fours position to begin today. We’ll say good morning to our spine with some slow and deep cat-cows. You can also take some big shoulder rolls here, engaging the core, whatever feels good in your body. With this in mind, we’ll go into what I’ve heard as “disco cat” – making circles with the hips and head, just letting your body work out the tension that accumulated while you were sleeping! Next, we’ll pedal out the feet in downward dog for a beautiful hamstring stretch before we traction out the neck as we fold over the thighs. We’ll continue by coming to standing and greeting the day as we trace our center line, moving then into some juicy reaching stretches. After this, we’ll go into chair pose, a warrior 2, and triangle pose. We’ll end our practice with a big lateral stretch on the floor with the option to straighten the leg or keep the legs crossed. You are ready for the day ahead!
