30 minute Vinyasa Yoga Overhand Grip in Dhanurasana (Bow) pose with Shireen Kaviani. This is an intermediate to advanced class leading to Padanguthasana Dhanuransana. Shireen does a beautiful job with this difficult variation of Dhanurasana. In order to get into this pose, the shoulders, upper back and hip flexors need to be warmed up. Please pay attention to your body. The full pose is advanced. If it isn't available to you today, stay with regular bow pose. Stop if you experience any pain. Shireen has a beautiful practice and she's very flexible, so she makes it look easy. I have tightness in my shoulders which makes this pose really difficult for me. It's a pose that I don't practice very much because if I don't get my shoulders and hip flexors open enough, my lower back gets too compressed...ouch!! This is why we get to see our lovely Shireen practice this pose!
As always, work at your own pace, rest if you need to rest and stop if you experience any pain.
