Leg day is no fun when your knees are screaming at you! Fortunately, Master Coach Zach Long has 3 exercises that will let you crush your legs with less pain!

Slantboard Step Downs do a great job loading the quads and if you add a resistance band as shown in the video, it will keep constant tension on them throughout the entire motion making this a killer quad pump exercise.

Spanish Squats also keep constant tension on the quads so they never get a moment of relief and really build up a lot of metabolic fatigue. They have the added benefit of letting athletes really sit back, resulting in very little strain on the knee joint.

Finally, banded split squats get athletes to focus on driving the knee out as they exercise which can often relieve stress on the knee.
